I am a Lecturer in Human Geography at the Department of Geography, University College London (UCL), where I am associated with the research group on Mobility, Identity and Security (through the Migration Research Unit) and the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA).
My research interests lie within Population and Urban Geography and my work focuses on investigating ethnicity, migration and segregation in contemporary cities. My particular interest is in developing innovative and multidisciplinary research methods to analyse socioeconomic inequalities at neighbourhood level, with a view to informing public policy. My recent work has focused on residential segregation, categorisations of ethnicity, dual citizenship, the geography of names, and the spatial analysis of populations and neighbourhoods in the UK, Spain, US and Mexico. You can read more about my work under the publications section.
